현대백화점 미아점에 위치한 이탈리안 레스토랑이다. ‘미식가의 정원’이라는 컨셉 아래 정원이라는 공간적 특성을 살리고자 하였다. 오픈 키친이라는 레스토랑의 특성에 따라 노출되는 주방의 상부에는 식재 연출을 적용하여 바쁘게 움직이는 요리사들의 모습이 식재와 어우러져 공간 자체에 생기와 생동감을 줄 수 있도록 하였고, 이러한 생기와 생동감을 느낄 수 있는 주방 앞 좌석은 바로 앞 테라스까지 연결되도록 하여 안에서 느껴지는 생동감이 바깥의 공기와 만나 그 싱그러움이 배가 될 수 있도록 하였다. 기본적인 마감재는 내츄럴한 무드를 살릴 수 있는 몇가지를 선정하여 다른 방식으로 반복 적용하였는데, 예를 들어 어느 부분에는 매끈한 나뭇결이 보이도록 마감하는 방면, 어느 부분에는 나무를 켜서 선적인 디자인을 강조하기도 했고, 어느 부분에는 대리석을 큼직하게 사용한 반면, 바닥에는 동일 대리석을 모자이크 형식으로 적용하여 통일감을 더했다.
This is an Italian restaurant located in the Hyundai Department Store Mia branch. Under the concept of “The Gourmet Garden,” the design aims to highlight the spatial characteristics of a garden. Given the restaurant’s open kitchen feature, the upper part of the exposed kitchen is adorned with fresh ingredients, allowing the busy chefs’ movements to blend with the food and infuse vitality and energy into the space. To enhance this liveliness, seating in front of the kitchen is connected to an outdoor terrace, allowing the vibrant atmosphere inside to merge with the fresh air outside, amplifying the overall sense of freshness.
The basic finishing materials were carefully selected to maintain a natural mood, applied in various ways throughout the space. For example, some areas feature a smooth wood grain finish, while others emphasize linear design by burning the wood.
