연세순내과는 정년퇴직 후 새출발을 하시고자 하는 클라이언트의 첫 개인 병원으로, 병원의 이름부터 로고제작, 내부 공간 디자인까지 전 과정을 맡아서 진행하였다. 연세순내과의 ‘순’ 자는 순수하다는 의미와 새로 움트는 싹의 이미지를 내포하고 있으며 모두에게 진실된 진료를 하고 생명력을 부여하고 싶다는 클라이언트의 진심을 담았다. 내부 공간도 이에 맞추어 진실되고 순수한 이미지, 따뜻하고 부드러운 이미지를 반영하고자 하였으며, 이에 따라 완만한 곡면과 자연적인 마감재를 적용하여 기존 의원들과는 다른 분위기를 연출하였다.
병원 내부는 진료실과 주사실, 심전도실과 수액실로 구성되어 있으며, 넓지 않은 내부 공간을 각 용도에 맞게 적절히 나누어 배치하였다. 좁은 공간을 활용하는 방법에 있어서 수액실의 경우에는 베드보다는 안락한 라운지 체어를 배치하여 수액을 맞을 수 있는 좌석의 수를 확보하는 동시에 공간 자체가 너무 답답해지지 않도록 하였고, 모든 실 내부 구석구석에 수납장을 배치하여, 부족한 수납공간을 확보하고자 하였다. 또한 내부의 창을 최대한 살려 개방감을 확보하고 자연광을 통해 따뜻한 분위기가 조성될 수 있도록 하였다.
Yonsei Soon Cardiology Clinic is the client’s first private clinic, established as a new beginning after retirement. Our team was responsible for the entire process — from naming and logo design to the interior space design. The word “Soon” (순) in Yonsei Soon carries the meaning of purity and evokes the image of a sprouting bud, reflecting the client’s sincere desire to provide genuine medical care to everyone and to breathe vitality into their lives.
The interior design reflects this same spirit — honest, pure, warm, and gentle. To embody these qualities, soft curves and natural finishing materials were applied to create an atmosphere distinct from conventional clinics.
The clinic interior is composed of examination rooms, an injection room, an ECG room, and an IV room. Within the compact floor plan, each area was efficiently divided and arranged according to its function. In the IV room, instead of beds, comfortable lounge chairs were installed to maximize seating capacity while preventing the space from feeling confined. Built-in storage cabinets were also placed throughout the rooms to compensate for limited storage space. Additionally, the design made the most of interior windows to enhance openness and allow natural light to fill the space, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
